Sorting the List of Messages in the Message Center

Because you might have dozens or even hundreds of messages listed in your Message Center inbox, you have the ability to sort your messages based on the column headings that display in the Message Center. These include:

Note

The default sorting method is by received/sent date.

To sort your list of messages in the Message Center:

  1. In the Message Center, click a column heading once to sort the list of messages by that criteria, in ascending (A-Z) order; click a column heading twice to sort the list of messages by that criteria, in descending (Z-A) order.

Example

If you want to sort your list of messages based on subject, in alphabetical order, click the Subject column heading once. If you want to sort your list of messages based on the received/sent date, beginning with those that were received/sent most recently, click the Received/Sent column heading twice.

Note

While the inbox is specifically mentioned above, this method works for the other parts of the Message Center as well: drafts, outbox, sent messages, and deleted messages.
