Searching for Opportunities

Because you might have dozens or even hundreds of opportunities listed on the Opportunities page, you have the ability to search for specific opportunities based on any of the criteria that display on the Opportunities page. These include:

Additionally, you can conduct two types of searches: basic, which enables you to search for opportunities based on one criterion, and advanced, which enables you to search for opportunities based on multiple criteria. Both of these methods are described in greater detail below.

Conducting a Basic Search

To conduct a basic search:

  1. From the Message Center, click the Opportunities tab. The Opportunities page displays.

Tip

When you access the Opportunities page, the basic search options should display on the page. However, if the advanced search options display and you want to conduct a basic search, click Search Criteria. The basic search options display.
  1. In the [Search Criterion] field, select the criterion you want to use as the basis for your search. You can select one of the following criteria: Title, Title/Description, Agency, Issuing Office, PSC/FSC, NAICS, or Reference Number. (For definitions of these criteria, see "Conducting an Advanced Search" below.)
  2. In the [Search Box] field, type the term(s) you want to search for that correlate to your selection in the [Search Criterion] field.

Example

If you selected Agency in the [Search Criterion] field, type the agency whose opportunities you want to search for in the [Search Box] field.
  1. Click Search. The opportunities that match your search criteria display.
