Resetting Your Password

Vendor administrators can reset their own FedConnect® product passwords.

After the vendor administrator resets his or her password, an email containing the new FedConnect® product password is sent to the email address listed in his or her user profile. The vendor administrator should use this new password the next time he or she signs in to the FedConnect® product.

Important

When you use the following method to reset your password, the FedConnect® product sends you an email with your temporary password, and you are required to establish a permanent password the first time you sign in to the FedConnect® product.

Another method enables you to change your password in your user profile, without requiring you to sign in with a temporary password and then establish a new permanent password the first time you sign in to the FedConnect® product.

To reset your password: 

  1. From the Message Center, click My Profile on the toolbar. The User Info page displays.
  2. Click the Admin Tools tab. The Admin Tools page displays.
  3. In the Password field, click Reset Password. A prompt asking, "Are you sure you want to reset the password?" displays.
  4. Click OK. An email containing your new password is sent to the email address listed in your user profile.
